How I started digital illustration

For as long as I remember, I loved to to draw. I used to copy a drawing through the window when I was a child. I started like this.
Later on, no need of a window anymore, I juste used my eyes and my hand. The proportion wasn’t often right but well, it was ok.

I got in the digital world way later in time. I always liked to design thing so I got to familiarise myself with the Photoshop software. Initially I learned about editing picture only. It was about light, contrast, colours, adjusting little imperfections, outline and cut out elements… And then, for some professional projects, I had to design some posters, add logos, etc.. so I got deep in the use of Photoshop and started to use Illustrator too. Pretty all by myself because I never took some proper courses. I am not a master with these two softwares but I mean, I can manage it.

For a long period of time then, I didn’t draw anymore. Neither did I design any posters or else because I had a team doing it for the purpose of my company. It’s only in my 30’s when I wanted to get back to my childhood loves that I got back to drawing again. And you know, digital illustrations are very presents nowadays so I got curious about it. And I finally decided to try it. That is how I downloaded the Procreate app on my Ipad. And I am learning about it till now. Getting better at it little by little.
